This page does nothing more than provide links to resources, categorized by titles. To understand these resources, you’ll need to click the title itself from the paragraph preceding the lists, which will take you to a post explaining the resources.
Note Before Downloading: WordPress allows me to upload only particular file types, and unsurprisingly, Masterplan file types aren’t supported. Also, when I upload them, spaces are replaced with dashes, and identical file names uploaded within the same month automatically have numbers appended to them even if I’ve deleted the old file first. For example, I upload file name.library.pdf, which is automatically renamed file-name.library.pdf. Then I delete that file and upload a replacement with the same name, file name.library.pdf. That file will be automatically renamed file-name-1.library.pdf. I have no control over this unless I wait until the following month before replacing the file. Because I update these as needed, sometimes the file names will be goofy. All that matters is that when you download file-name-1.library.pdf, you rename it to file name.library. In fact, you can rename it Fred’s Sexy Monster File.library. The name doesn’t matter if you aren’t sharing libraries among people. I am, so I try to keep the file names that the creator of Masterplan used, and I use intuitive names for my own. If everyone in the 4e community is consistent, things will always go more smoothly.
Masterplan can be downloaded here: https://github.com/andyaiken/masterplan/releases/tag/v12.2.

Some of these libraries were worked on so long ago that all I focused on were the monsters (as opposed to artifacts, traps, hazards, etc.). Nevertheless, please let me know if anything is missing from a library.

Current status: I’ve decided to focus my efforts on sourcebooks that Andy never created because his work on the project ended before those sourcebooks existed. In no particular order, these are the sourcebooks that still need to be created:
- Monster Vault: Threats to the Nentir Vale
- Mordenkainen’s Magnificent Emporium
- Player’s Option: Heroes of the Elemental Chaos
- Heroes of the Fallen Lands
- Dungeon Master’s Kit
- Heroes of the Forgotten Kingdoms Monster Vault

As a side note, the delves based on C1: The Hidden Shrine of Tomoachan, S1: Tomb of Horrors, and S2: White Plume Mountain are new (as of February, 2025). I was inspired to write them based on how much fun I had running two other delves recently. I may add more delves because they’re so much fun to write, but there aren’t any other classic AD&D mods that are both suitable for delves and ones that I played as a kid. I may not be able to do, for example, the Slavers’ series justice.
Pregenerated characters (created by @flashedarling) in PDF format.
Cart (Runemind – Hybrid Runepriest/Battlemind) complexity 5
Cikatak (Barbarian) complexity 2
Elaine (Seeker) complexity 2
Isabella (Hexblade) complexity 1
Isaiah (Cleric) complexity 2
Quinn (Mage) complexity 4
Rakash (Knight) complexity 2
Sirocco (Scout) complexity 2
Sly (Psion) complexity 4
Tyrus (Corrupted Paladin – Hybrid Paladin/Warlock) This one has a ton of errors on it. I’d just ignore it or replace it.
Urgar (Warlord) complexity 3
Xerxes (Shaman) complexity 5
If you prefer Character Builder character sheets, I have those. I added backgrounds to all of these characters, so many have an extra power. I gave Cart the background of Alchemist so that he can craft an Alchemist’s Fire after each encounter. He starts with one in hand that should count against his limit for each encounter, but feel free to run this as you please. I’m not the boss of you.

Pregenerated characters in .dnd4e format.
I tried to upload these to WordPress in Character Builder format (.dnd4e), but they saw through me. They realized that the file was of another type with the extension changed to PDF. So, I’m not sure if I did this correctly, but you should be able to access them here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/ztl2vj2soz5gm65mgrjxk/APh3SOA6aqwu7duM38QEbZA?rlkey=upk88bzs55tl1nwcrsh1abznx&dl=0. If that doesn’t work and want them, just send me a message through my contact page. I’m happy to share them if you don’t want to have to reverse engineer them yourself using the PDFs.
synDClash Delve Conversions
After running the delves for a couple of groups, I realized that playing them as written, while great as a convention competition, aren’t as much fun if you’re just playing for its own sake. So, I’ve started to convert them to conventional levels of difficulty, and while some are bound to turn out harder than others, none are easy, and none are impossible. I’m also changing the level of each delve according to the following schedule (links to follow):
- Return to the Borderlands: 2nd level (uploaded 4/17/2025)
- Tomoachan’s Treasure: 5th level (uploaded 4/17/2025)
- The Ruins at Inverness: 6th level
- White Plume Beckons: 7th level (uploaded 4/17/2025)
- Giant Problems: 8th level (uploaded 4/17/2025)
- The Great Metal Dungeon: 9th level (uploaded 4/17/2025)
- Underdarkness: 10th level
- Erelhei-Cinlu Rises: 11th level
- The Pit of the Queen: 12th level
- Acererak’s Last Stand: 13th level
All of the creatures used in these delves are contained in a single library (uploaded 4/17/2025).

Love it! D&D 4e should never die. What happened to MM1?

Are you asking why I haven’t updated it? It’s not as high a priority as creating the non-existent MM3. Eventually I’ll update it to MM3 stat block language.

I’m assuming you’re trying to open the files in Adobe. Please read the post. They’re not PDF files. I just use the .pdf extension so that I can store the files on my site.
